Job Title: Interventional Cardiology RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Cardiology Duration: 32 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: 1 year of experience working as an RN in an outpatient cardiology clinic setting and triage setting is required. License: RN License required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Must-Have: - Assessments and Vital Sign monitoring - Cardiac Arrest/CPR skills - Arrhythmia interpretation - Oxygen administration - Patient education on lifestyle and medication adherence Description: This position is for an Interventional Cardiology RN in an outpatient clinic. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The patient population includes individuals preparing for or recovering from various cardiology procedures. These procedures may include cardiac catheterization, PCI/stent placement, and electrophysiological procedures. Many patients may present with complex medical needs requiring careful assessment of symptoms and medication management. The role involves escalating urgent situations such as chest pain, shortness of breath, syncope, or signs of complications. Skills required include obtaining patient health histories, conducting telephone triage, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Experience with electronic charting systems is necessary. This position does not require weekend coverage or on-call duties. All candidates should understand the importance of patient safety and adhere to universal precautions.
