ID: 64206790 Shift: First Shift M-F, 8a-4:30pThe Medical Oncology Clinic is an outpatient specialty clinic that provid Description: Job RN Oncology Clinic Nurse is responsible for supporting Medical Oncologist in the Oncology clinic. The RN assists with patient preparation, clinic visits, orders, follow up, education, documentation, coordination of care, data collection, procedures, and any other duties that lead to efficiency within the oncology clinic.Job Responsibilities:-Reviews all patient charts prior to clinic making sure all ordered test results are available in the chart. -Assists with clinic flow and efficiency. -Meets with all patients in the clinic. Obtains ROS, performs medication reconciliation and gathers any pertinent information for the patient s visit. -Ensures all tests, treatments and referrals are ordered. -Follows up with all ordered tests, treatments, and referrals. -Assists physician with treatment orders, medication orders and refills. -Maintains accurate documentation of observations, treatment, teaching, medications and patient responses, pain and distress assessment, critical labs and all other care rendered. -Assist with pre-auths and pre-certs, billing and insurance issues, FMLA and disability forms and specialty medications. -Assists with physician documentation. -Assist with clinical trials-stays abreast of open and available clinical trials, assesses for eligibility, educates patient/family about trials and interacts with clinical trials staff. -Assists with data collection for new patients/consults. -Maintains professionalism-obtains and maintains OCN, stays abreast of new treatments, attends conferences, etc. null Schedule , 8a-4:30pThe Medical Oncology Clinic is an outpatient specialty clinic that provides comprehensive care for patients with cancer.
