Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Ambulatory Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience and ACU/PACU experience required License: Valid RN Licensure in California Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: Tele/Ambulatory Care RN is accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care. This includes direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care in an acute patient setting. The RN delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area. They develop, implement, and coordinate a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. They foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, their families or support groups, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communication. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census and number of visits per day may vary. Special procedures in this role involve pre- and post-operative care, catheterization lab, electrophysiology lab, gastroenterology lab, interventional endoscopy, and interventional radiology.
