Job Summary
Ambulatory Care Medical Surgical Skilled Nurse in Alaska. This position functions within the outpatient department to assist patients and medical staff in an ambulatory care setting. The role involves providing clinical services, ensuring efficient clinic operations, and supporting patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or other U.S. state required. Agency staff must have an active Alaska license at time of submittal.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of any type of emergency care experience (ER, Urgent Care, flight nurse).
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week.
• Provide clinical services, including working with providers, clinic staff, and management to ensure excellent quality of care and services, efficient utilization of resources, and adherence to clinic standards.
• Oversee clinic opening and closing procedures and ensure proper documentation of patient care.
• Assist providers and other staff as needed, anticipating needs to ensure efficient and quality patient care.
• Communicate effectively across departments to support patient care.
• Maintain medication inventory and supplies, ensure quality control checks with Point of Care tests, and uphold infection control policies.
• Assist with clinic operations, support staff, and participate in educational programs and mandatory training.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
