Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to behavioral health patients
  • Assess patient mental and physical health conditions
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Support crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and coping strategies
  • Promote a safe and therapeutic care environment
Requirements
  • Active RN License in Michigan
  • Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing experience
  • BLS Certification required
  • CPI certification preferred
  • Strong communication, assessment, and crisis management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced behavioral health settings
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
