Duration: 8 Weeks

Shift: Mid Shift | 5x8 Hours (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in an acute inpatient adult psychiatric unit. The RN will assess, monitor, and treat patients with a wide range of mental health conditions while ensuring a safe therapeutic environment through crisis intervention and behavioral management.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and care for adult behavioral health patients.
  • Administer psychiatric medications and monitor patient response.
  • Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation in EPIC.
  • Utilize de-escalation, crisis intervention, and behavior management techniques.
  • Monitor patients for suicide risk, self-harm, aggression, and changes in mental status.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and the interdisciplinary care team.

     

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) State License
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience
  • Recent inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
  • Previous travel experience required
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Skilled in crisis intervention, de-escalation, behavioral management, medication administration, and psychiatric patient care
  • Ability to safely manage behavioral emergencies, including physical holds and restraint protocols

Patient Population

  • Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health

Weekend Requirement

  • Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
