Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Adult and Pediatric Burn Trauma Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) in Indianapolis, Indiana. This critical care role involves providing specialized nursing care for burn and trauma patients across the continuum of burn injury management. The position requires managing high-acuity patients with a focus on invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and post-operative care, following established protocols in a dedicated Burn Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Job Details:

• Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience, knowledge of burn trauma care including invasive hemodynamic monitoring (at least hourly), IV drip titration, burn fluid resuscitation following Parkland formula, ventilator management, CVVH, pulse and flap doppler checks hourly, initial debridement and dressing changes, conscious sedation, surgical recovery, epidural pump management
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in burn ICU, pediatric trauma care, certification in critical care or trauma nursing is a plus
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for adult and pediatric burn trauma patients with injuries such as flame, scald, electrical, and chemical burns, inhalation injuries, necrotic ischemia, and necrotizing fasciitis. The RN will support high-acuity care, including burn-specific interventions and surgeries, in a specialized burn ICU setting.
