Job Summary Cardiac Cath Lab Specialty Nurse Location: unspecified. This position involves providing high-quality, competent clinical nursing care within a hospital setting, focusing on patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. The role requires coordination with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to professional standards.
Job Details
Position Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards; responsible for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Participates in patient and family education, promotes a safe environment, and collaborates with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited school, with a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of North Carolina. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC). One (1) year of nursing experience, including experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or Acute Cardiac Care, preferred. Epic experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
Schedule: Shift is Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: The RN is expected to float between the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Cardiovascular Unit (CVU). Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience or acute cardiac care experience is accepted. Pre- and post-procedure experience is optional.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in clinical nursing care, patient assessment, patient education, and clinical documentation.
