You must have a current Arizona RN license or a valid compact state license. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required within 6 months of hire. At least 6 months of Cath Lab or Cardiac Intervention Lab experience is needed. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is important. Recommended skills include knowledge of intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) setup and monitoring, ability to respond to cardiac alerts and STEMI cases, and strong critical thinking.
