Job Summary
Cardiovascular Care Nurse (CCL) Montrose, Colorado. This position involves working under the direct supervision of cardiologists in a Cath Lab setting. The Cardiovascular Care Nurse will be responsible for explaining procedures to patients, monitoring physical and medical data to determine protocol appropriateness, and overseeing all practical aspects of cardiology procedures. The role requires proficiency in cardiovascular physiology and exercise testing techniques, ensuring patient safety and optimal care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, Days, Call four 10-hour shifts, 0700 1730, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Certifications & Education: Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, PALS certification, completion of a 12-lead ECG course, and 10 hours of physician-led didactic training
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of related experience, with preferred Cath Lab experience and IV conscious sedation knowledge
• Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of exercise physiology, cardiac drugs and their effects, ECG interpretation, and complication recognition and treatment; familiarity with proper lead placement and skin preparation; understanding of exercise testing endpoints and contraindications; ability to recognize arrhythmias and treat them if life-threatening; knowledge of metabolic equivalents and exercise intensity assessment.
• Position-specific Duties: Explaining procedures to patients, performing and supervising exercise stress tests and nuclear imaging stress tests, ensuring safety protocols, and maintaining competence in exercise testing procedures.
