Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. The position involves rotating 4x10 hour day shifts, with the specific hours being 07:00 - 17:30 and 09:30 - 20:00. Shift assignments will be scheduled in blocks for consistency, with the possibility of varying shifts each week. The ratio of nurses to patients in the Cath Lab is 1:1.

Schedule and Requirements

• Weekend Requirement: Yes, with on-call requirements including one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and a weekday call shift weekly.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab or Electrophysiology (EP) experience is required.
• License: A South Carolina nursing license or compact license must be held prior to the start date.
• Certifications: Candidates must possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Radiation Badge: A radiation badge must be provided by the agency; the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers.

Miscellaneous Information

• Floating: There will be no floating between service lines or to sister facilities required.
• Local Radius: A 60-mile radius rule applies; locals may be accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate.
• Parking: Parking costs are covered with a pass provided at badge pickup, and parking facilities are available nearby.
• Hurricane Season: Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response team duties. Proper arrangements should be made if this is a concern.

Job Highlights

The work environment is in an acute care setting with a focus on providing high-quality care during catheterization procedures. The facility is equipped with a total of 304 staffed beds, and charting will be done using the Epic system. Cath Lab staff will wear hospital-issued scrubs.
