Registered Nurse – Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab

Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts
Shift:7:00 AM – 7:30 PM and 12pm-12:30am
Hours: 34.5 hours/week
MUST HAVE 2 YRS OF PEDS CARDIAC CATH LAB EXP
MUST HAVE BSN
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab experience — REQUIRED
- BSN — REQUIRED
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- 1 year travel experience required for travel positions
- Active New York RN license
- BLS, ACLS & PALS required
- Epic experience highly preferred
- Strong cardiology, telemetry, and procedural experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, competent, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and apply critical thinking in patient care management.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatment plans, transition of care, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
- Support patient throughput and coordinate care throughout the shift.
- Follow evidence-based practices, quality standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement, nursing research, and professional development activities.
- Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned.
