Contract Assignment | Day Shift | 13 Weeks
Position Overview:
The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced cardiac procedural environment while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Assignment Details:
- Location: New York, NY 10025
- Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Schedule: 3 x 11.5-hour shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 hours/week
- No Weekends
- 13-Week Contract
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor clinical status before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR.
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in patient throughput, care coordination, and discharge planning activities.
Requirements:
- Active New York RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- EPIC experience highly preferred
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing considered with relevant experience
