Job Summary Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse specializing in Electrophysiology (EP) procedures is needed in the designated location. This role involves providing high-level nursing care in a busy EP lab, including device implants, ablations, and supporting hybrid operating room procedures. The nurse will contribute to staff training and perform specialized skills such as circulation, scrubbing, hemodynamic monitoring, and intra-arterial/venous catheter insertion.
Job Details
Position: RN in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) specializing in Electrophysiology (EP)
Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years of recent electrophysiology experience, including device implants and ablations
Certifications/Education: BLS Certification; minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; licensed to submit licensure; minimum experience requirement: 0 years
Shift: Days, 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with 40 hours per week
Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week, with 9-12 days of call per month, scheduled without weekends or holidays unless on call; call response time is 30 minutes
Responsibilities: Scrub and provide conscious sedation during procedures, assist with cardiac catheterization, monitor hemodynamics, support structural heart support in hybrid OR, assist during cases, and take on call duties.
Additional Information: The role involves collaboration with cardiologists, experienced EP nurses, and cath lab techs. Orientation typically lasts 4 days. The client utilizes EPIC for charting.
