Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Interventional Laboratory (CCL) Specialist in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized care within a busy interventional cardiology environment, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath and electrophysiology labs. The position requires experienced registered nurses with a background in cardiac catheterization and monitored sedation, working in a dynamic, state-of-the-art facility.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, or 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM). Flexibility in shift timing may be required, with no set schedule and alternating days off. On-call responsibilities include weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage with a minimum of 7-10 days every 6 weeks; response time for on-call is 30 minutes.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; minimum of 2 years RN experience in cardiovascular surgical ICU, cardiac catheterization, or electrophysiology labs; experience with moderate sedation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC CUPID, Critical Care Certification, trauma course.
- Additional Information: The position involves supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures for conditions such as coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, pericardial disease, peripheral artery disease, adult congenital heart disease, and aortic disease. Orientation sessions are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month. Past employment within any Johns Hopkins system facility must be noted and verified prior to offer.
