Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Laboratory (CCL) Specialty Nurse position is located in Kansas City. This role involves providing direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the cardiac catheterization lab setting. The nurse will address physical, psychosocial, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment, communicate continuously with physicians regarding patient status, and assist with equipment and inventory maintenance. The position offers a dynamic clinical environment focused on diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, Monday through Thursday, with on-call responsibilities; 8 hours shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active state Registered Nurse (RN) license, current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), and current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. A minimum of four years of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Laboratory performing cardiac work or in a Critical Care setting is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: N/A
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role involves monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, continuous assessment of patient condition, and participation in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
