Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of current Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
Circulating and monitoring experience.
Level II trauma experience.
Active Iowa RN license or multistate/compact license at submission.
BLS and ACLS.
Preferred Experience
Structural heart, electrophysiology (EP), and prior travel experience highly preferred.
Scrubbing and Level I trauma experience preferred.
Call & Scheduling
Call 1–2 nights per week and every third weekend.
Weekend call runs Friday at 7:30 p.m. through Monday at 7 a.m.
Rare assigned weekend cases.
Required to work 1–2 of the three upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed.
Float to like units across Des Moines campuses as needed; campuses are minutes apart.
Precept as needed.
Submission Requirements
Resume documenting at least 24 months of current Cath Lab experience.
Cath Lab-specific skills checklist.
Nursys verification showing active Iowa or multistate licensure.
Driver’s license.
Current BLS and ACLS documentation.
Supervisory reference or performance evaluation from the past 24 months preferred.
Eligibility
No locals: Must live at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver’s license.
UPH employees who worked as staff or PRN float pool within the past 12 months are ineligible for travel assignments in another UPH market. Prior UPH travel assignments are exempt from this separation policy.
