Job Summary – Registered Nurse (Cardiac Cath Lab)
Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: UnityPoint Health – Iowa (Traveler may float within local campuses)
Shift: Days | 4x9 Hours | 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
Contract Length:13 Weeks
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
Experience with:
Coronary interventions
Vascular procedures
Scrubbing in Cath Lab cases
Hemodynamic monitoring
Vasopressor titration
IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
RotaPro/Rotablator
Penumbra system
Interventional Radiology exposure (preferred)
Required Licensure & Certifications
Active Iowa RN License
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS
Required Skills
Cardiac Cath Lab scrub experience
Coronary & vascular case management
Vasopressor titration
IABP management
Rota device experience
Penumbra device experience
Epic EMR
Preferred Experience
At least one completed travel assignment

Job Responsibilities
Assist physicians during cardiac and vascular catheterization procedures
Scrub and circulate in Cath Lab procedures
Monitor hemodynamics and patient status
Administer and titrate vasoactive medications
Operate Cath Lab equipment safely
Document procedures accurately in Epic
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
Additional Information
Epic experience required
Traveler must live more than 50 miles from the facility (Madison accepts locals with a 10% rate reduction)
