Job Summary:
Cardiac Care Nurse (CCL) specializing in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) procedures. This position is located in a rapid-paced acute care environment requiring a highly skilled nurse to perform a variety of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. The role involves administering conscious sedation, circulating in a sterile environment, and supporting complex cardiac interventions throughout multiple shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; valid RN license in a State Nursing Board or multistate licensure; minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience; graduation from a National League for Nursing (NLN) or American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) accredited nursing program is strongly preferred; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with equipment including Pyxis, Philips monitoring systems, Epic, Xcelera, ultrasounds, Angiojets, EKOS machines, and Acist contrast injection systems.
• Responsibilities: Administer and monitor conscious sedation during procedures, circulate in sterile environment, support procedures such as heart catheterizations, PCIs, pacemaker insertions, ICD placements, EP procedures, TEEs, cardioversions, venous ablations, and peripheral vascular angiograms.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS are required.
• Additional Information: Orientation for 4-6 shifts based on experience, geared towards charting and physician equipment preferences. Certification in ACLS and BLS is mandatory. Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility and follow the cancellation policy of up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
