The shift is from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The unit consists of 7 holding beds. Patient ratios and staffing details include support from unit secretaries and techs. Equipment used in the lab includes GE Innova and Impella. Documentation is done using MacLab and Meditech. Self-scheduling is available, allowing for flexibility. The position requires participation in STEMI call, approximately 10 to 12 days each month. Advanced skills needed include PCI, PFO, Impella, and IABP. Procedures performed on this unit include TAVR, PFOA, Atherectomy, PCI, R/LHC, Impella/IABP, and implants. Dress code includes surgical scrubs provided by the facility.
