Description:
Our hours are from 06:00 to 16:30 with a rotating off-day each week.
The unit has one Cath/EP Lab.
The team consists of 6 staff members.
Staff includes RNs and Cath Lab Techs.
Day shift comprises 5 RNs and 1 Tech.
Night shift requires a rotating on-call schedule with a minimum of 3 team members.
At least one RN is required in the call rotation; the other two can be RNs or Techs.
Patient ratios are 1:1 per team.
The equipment used includes GE, Mac Lab, and Abbott Ensite XEMR Mac Lab.
Typical procedures performed include:
Left Heart Cath
PCI
Pacemaker
ICD Implants
TEE
Cardioversion
Loop Recorders
EP Studies
EP Ablations, including Amulets
