Description:
This is a travel nursing position in the Cath Lab.
Shifts are Monday through Friday from 07:30 AM to 03:30 PM.
The position requires on-call coverage for approximately 11-13 days per month, including 2 weekends.
On-call coverage for 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday may be required.
The Cath Lab has 98 beds and a staff of 8, which includes 2 PRN Techs and 1 Shared RN.
Day shift currently has 2 RNs, 3 full-time Techs, and 2 PRN Techs.
Night shift operates with a 3-person on-call team.
Patients are cared for with a focus on critical procedures.
Equipment used in the unit includes Philips, GE, Pyxis, and MacLab.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Typical procedures performed include cardiac catheterizations, TEE/CVNs, pacemaker implants, PVS, EP Ablations, and PE/DVT thrombectomies.
Lexiscan injections for nuclear medicine stress tests are also administered.
A successful candidate will have a flexible, patient, and supportive personality.
The team is known for being laid-back and drama-free, with a strong camaraderie among staff and physicians.
The department operates at a slower pace but experiences busy days as well.
The area offers many hotels, restaurants, and activities for staff convenience.
The work environment promotes readiness for on-call situations as they may occur.
Candidates with MacLab monitoring experience or circulating EP procedures will be considered favorably.
Training is provided for necessary skills where applicable.
