Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology Profession: RN Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Four 9-hour shifts Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Must have recent Cath lab experience within the last year. Experience with STEMI, PCI, impella, and IABP required. Experience with peripheral angiogram and intervention work is necessary. License: A valid nursing license is required. Certifications: AHA BLS certification is required. Must-Have: No pending certifications or licenses will be accepted. No issues on the license record. Description: Performs patient assessment and continuous monitoring before, during, and after diagnostic and interventional procedures. Administers medications, including moderate sedation, per physician orders and policy. Assists physicians during cardiac catheterization and other invasive cardiovascular procedures utilizing sterile technique. Monitors cardiac rhythm, hemodynamic status, and patient response throughout procedures and recovery. Recognizes and responds to changes in patient condition, arrhythmias, or procedural complications. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans. Documents nursing assessments, interventions, medications, procedural events, and patient responses accurately. Provides patient and family education related to procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions. Participates in on-call rotation for emergent and urgent procedures and responds within a timely manner. Demonstrates professional nursing practice guided by recognized theories of nursing. Promotes effective communication and a respectful, collaborative work environment. Precepts and mentors staff and students as assigned. Participates in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
