Key Responsibilities of the RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Practice independently and manage clinical nursing contingencies
• Consistently meet applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers

Requirements of the RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS required (AHA only)
• RN License in state of NM or compact
