Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Catheterization Lab - $2,703 per week in Charleston, WV

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Cath Lab or Rad Tech experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Prior Cath Lab or Rad Tech experience Description: Unit has 2 suites/labs and handles an average of 10 cases per day. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS for RN staff, and AART for Rad Techs. Common diagnoses and types of patients include diagnostic left and right heart catheters, PCI, IABP, Impella, temporary pacemaker, TCAR, EVAR, EKOS, AIF, IVC filters, Infusaports, and Permacaths. Vascular surgeons also perform procedures in the unit. Rad Techs scrub and assist physicians and must know sterile technique. Experience with EKOS is preferred, but training is available. RNs are responsible for circulating, sedating, and completing documentation requirements in the Cath Pre/Post Recovery area. EMR and equipment used include Siemens software. On-call requirement is 24/7. Manager roles consist of a Director, Coordinator, and a Charge Nurse. Call response time is 30 minutes. Floating to other units is not required but is available if extra hours are desired and experience aligns. Surgical attire is provided, but lead is not. General hospital orientation and computer training are part of the onboarding process. Mandatory call and standby requirements are established. Weekend call typically runs from Friday after hours until Monday morning. Holiday call is rotational.
