Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Monday-Friday Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience License: Unexpired driver's license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must have 2 years of Cath Lab experience. Must have prior exposure to Interventional Radiology and peripheral vascular cases. Must have experience with impellas, IABP, shockwave, IVUS, FFR, IFR, swans, and roto. Must be comfortable with conscious sedation. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately. Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The unit has two Cath Labs, one Hybrid Room, and seven holding rooms. On average, 16 procedures are performed daily. The job includes pre-admission and post-care in holding, procedural nursing in the lab, PICC line insertion, intravenous conscious sedation, and airway management. A charge nurse is available on each shift to assist with workflow and assignments. The facility operates with a four-person on-call team, consisting of two RNs and two cardiovascular technicians. The expected call response time is 30 minutes. Provided scrubs will be royal blue in color. Unit-specific orientation consists of two to three shifts with a preceptor. No floating requirements are expected. The charting system used is Cerner. This is an acute care setting requiring a skilled and experienced nursing professional.
