Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Must have an active nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: Scrub experience is required. Description: The position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience. First-time travelers are accepted if they have 3 or more years of experience. The schedule is 4x10s with block scheduling to be determined, including call requirements. Call is required a minimum of 2 days a week and every third weekend. Daily census ranges from 5 to 7 patients. Experience with Cerner and McKesson documentation systems is preferred. The role involves circulating and administering conscious sedation. Procedures include cardiac interventions such as left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, and STEMI calls. Daily tasks may also include interventional radiology procedures such as venous access and drain placements. The candidate will work with various equipment including Mckesson-Hemo, Angio Jet, and Medtronic devices. Strong skills in infection prevention and procedural sedation monitoring are essential. Candidates should be comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients. A strong focus on teamwork and collaboration is vital in this role.
