Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (0700 to 1730) Experience: Two (2) years of acute care RN experience, with two years of cath lab experience and two years of EPIC experience License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Acute care RN experience - Left and right diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations - Pacemaker and AICD implants - Loop recorders - Impellas Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse focuses on safe effective patient and family centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying the caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comforts, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff. Job Responsibilities include: Assessment: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Development and Implementation: Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care. Reviews and revises the plan as indicated. Collaborates with patient/family and interdisciplinary services. Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family. Evaluation: Monitors and documents response to clinical interventions. Education: Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient/family needs. Leadership: Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Functions as a mentor/preceptor. Demonstrates, encourages, and facilitates teamwork. Identifies and appropriately communicates opportunities for improvement. Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement efforts and implements practice changes. Complies with regulatory standards. Participates in the Practice Governance model.
