Job Title: RN Cath Lab Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 5 years License: RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 2+ years of ICU experience 1+ year of experience as a Cath Lab RN Prior traveler experience preferred but not required Description: The Cardiac Catheterization RN acts as a critical member of the patient care team within the department. The RN collaborates fully with other care team members to ensure continuity of care for patients. The Cath Lab RN promotes a philosophy of patient and family-focused care in all interactions. There is a focus on understanding and meeting customer needs. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call may be required during the contract. There are no weekend or holiday shifts worked. In a 13-week contract, expect 1-2 weeknights (total) and possibly 1 weekend (not guaranteed). The facility has 7 procedure rooms and a hybrid OR, with all rooms upgraded within 1-5 years. There is a 12-bay peri-procedural space for patient preparation and recovery. Epic is the primary charting system used, and hemodynamic measurements are taken on the Siemens Sensis system. The lab averages over 30 cases per day, with case types ranging from outpatient procedures to complex interventions.
