Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Must be competent to perform conscious sedation and monitor and record all procedures in the department. - Must have experience with activated clotting time (ACT), cardioversion, and blood product administration. - Must have experience in interventional cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology. Description: Please ensure you are aware of the following: Upon accepting this assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an emergency team. There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be communicated for each emergency event, as impacts may vary. By signing your travel contract for this position, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager in case an emergency event occurs. You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with the above conditions. Standard procedure hours are 08:00 - 16:30. However, earlier or later procedures will require flexibility to meet the needs of the unit and ensure patients are cared for at optimal levels. Call will be divided equally among team members. Typically, this includes two nights per week and every other weekend. All hours must be covered, including after hours, weekends, and holidays. Weekend coverage includes being on call from close of business Friday to department opening Monday morning. On-call personnel are expected to arrive within 30 minutes of notification. Floating may occur. Interventional Radiology and the Cardiac Cath Lab work closely and assist each other as needed. This position requires candidates to have NURSYS reports sent. Please ensure that reports are up-to-date within four weeks of the submission date. Candidates must have experience in all areas associated with cardiac cath, peripheral vascular, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology. The facility does not accept local travelers and requires candidates to reside over a specified distance. All candidates must be separated from previous roles within the system for a defined duration before being eligible for this travel position. References from previous managers or supervisors will be required to obtain clearance to start this contract.
