Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: IR experience is a plus Description: Position requires experience in a Cath Lab setting. At least 2 years of nursing experience is preferred. First-time travelers are not accepted for this role. The schedule includes 4 weekend shifts per contract. Candidates must be available for on-call duties, with a 30-minute response time. Call shifts can average 10 shifts within a 6-week period, which includes one weekend of call. Traveling nurses will not need to float between units. RTO must be included at the time of submission. A compact license must be in hand at submission. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays. References required from the last 3 years covering 1 year of experience. All candidates must respond to specific questions regarding prior employment history. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities if required. All communication devices necessary for the role will be provided at no cost. Modules are non-billable and will be completed pre-start and during orientation. Daily patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. Units handle a variety of cardiac procedures including left heart catheterizations and coronary angiograms. The daily census can include 3 to 9 scheduled cases based on needs. There is a variety of interdisciplinary support available for patient care. Nursing responsibilities include medication administration, monitoring, and patient assessment. Travelers should expect to work in a collaborative environment with various healthcare professionals.
