Description:
Position requires a Cath Lab RN.
Shifts are 4x10s - start time 7:30 AM.
Average daily census is 10-20 cases in 4 labs, with approximately 12 visits per day.
On-call is required every 4 weekends and 1-2 times on weekdays based on department need.
First-timers are accepted.
Will float between facilities as needed.
Candidates may be required to meet facility needs and float within the scope of practice.
Rationale and adherence to standard operating procedures for patient care are essential.
Staffing support includes IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary.
Patient diagnoses include cardiovascular and peripheral vascular lab services for adults and geriatrics.
Special procedures include right heart catheterization, left heart catheterization, valve studies, PFO/ASD closures, PCI, and TAVR.
Special equipment utilized includes Inari, Impella, EKOS, balloon pumps, ECMO, laser, and rota-bladder.
Compliance with safety protocols and effective communication skills are necessary for this position.
A clinical approach focused on patient-centered care is essential for delivering quality care in the cath lab environment.
