Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the Cath Lab License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab - Experience with IABP and IVUS - Familiarity with Acist injector is preferred but will provide training Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab specializing in cardiac procedures. The RN will work four 10-hour day shifts from Monday to Friday. Call rotation consists of 10-11 days per month, including holidays. The RN will be involved in both scrub and monitor functions as part of the Cath Lab team. Common cases include cardiac adults, peripheral procedures, catheterizations, and device placements. The team operates with a 3-member setup consisting of 2 RNs and 1 tech. Emergency response systems and supplies are integrated into daily operations. Critical medications are managed in the lab under pharmacy guidance. The RN must be prepared for possible floating to non-invasive areas to assist with IV placements. Weekend and holiday coverage is part of the call requirements. Successful candidates will exhibit strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills. Candidates must comply with all health and safety protocols, including vaccination requirements.
