Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Catheterization Lab - $3,086 per week in Auburn, NY

Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour or Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 or 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required. Must have 1 year of experience within the past year. License: Client License required. Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab skills. Interventional Cardiac Cath lab skills. Experience with Diagnostic and Interventional Catheterizations. Experience with left heart catheterization. Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring. Experience with right heart catheterization. Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Description: Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered local. Local rate is lower than travel rate. Floating is required based on facility needs. Call is required with a frequency of 11-14 days for both weekdays and weekends, with a rotating weekend call structure. Minimum response time for call response is less than 30 minutes. Expected to be on call for 24 hours during holidays on a rotating basis. The typical call volume has been noted as 14 times since the unit opened. Guaranteed hours are set at a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required based on facility needs. Candidates should have had previous experience with telemetry assessment. The assessment will cover identification of heart blocks, arrhythmias, and normal interval durations on telemetry strips. Nurses must independently measure and interpret telemetry strips for all patients under their care. First-time travelers may be accepted on a case-by-case basis depending on experience. Return travelers are eligible to return as long as they are in good standing.
