Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Catheterization Lab - $3,180 per week in Chicago, IL

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab Profession: Nursing Specialty: RN Medical Center Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Moderate sedation with Versed/Fentanyl experience Critical drip management Ability to monitor and circulate cases Experience with diagnostic and interventional procedures Description: Level 1 Trauma Center and Teaching Client. Designated as a Magnet facility. Comprehensive stroke center with 397 beds. Rooms consist of 3 Cath Labs. Required minimum years of experience for RNs and Techs is 2 years in a Cath Lab setting. First-time travelers will not be accepted. Common procedures include diagnostic and interventional catheterizations. Case types include NSTEMI, STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotoblator, CTOs/staged PCI, and shockwave. Average daily case load ranges from 5 to 15 cases. For RNs, required skills include moderate sedation, critical drip management, and case monitoring. The Tech role requires skills in laser lead extraction, Rotoblator, FFR, IVUS, Impella, and AIBP management. Support within the department includes a Charge RN, receptionists, hospitalists, and available Respiratory Therapists. Technology and equipment utilized include Epic EMR, Phillips IV Pumps, and Philips c-arm. Scheduling includes weekend call coverage and weekday overnight call shifts. Response time for call is expected within 30 minutes. Self-scheduling is available with manager approval. Holidays may include on-call requirements, and requests for time off are approved up to 7 days in advance. Scrub color is provided for staff.
