We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join a leading healthcare facility in Sacramento, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced Cath Lab that handles complex cardiac and vascular procedures.
Position Details- Title: RN – Cardiac Cath Lab
- Location: Sacramento, CA (95819)
- Shift: 12-hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Schedule: 3x12s + On-Call
- Call Requirement: 1 night/week + up to every other weekend
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Unit Overview- Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Rooms: 3 fully equipped Cath Lab suites
- Support Staff: CV Techs & Rad Techs available
- EMR: Cerner | Merge Hemodynamics
- Leadership: Intensivist support, IV Team, RT & Pharmacy available 24/7
- Orientation: 2 shifts
Key Responsibilities- Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Provide patient care throughout pre, intra, and post-procedure phases
- Monitor patient status and respond to emergency situations
- Collaborate closely with physicians and Cath Lab team
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner & hemodynamic systems
Required Qualifications- Active RN License (CA)
- BLS & ACLS Certifications (Required)
- NIHSS Certification (Required)
- Minimum recent Cath Lab experience in a high-acuity setting
Highly Preferred (Standout Candidates)- Scrub Experience in Cath Lab (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
- Must be able to confidently scrub for procedures
- Experience with complex cardiac cases
Procedures & Case Types- Diagnostic & Interventional Cardiac Caths
- TAVR & MitraClip procedures
- Peripheral vascular interventions
- STEMI cases (tertiary referral center)
- Advanced procedures including:
- Rotablator
- IVUS
- Shockwave
- Impella
- Balloon Pump
