Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours / 8 Hours Experience: 2+ Years of Recent Cath Lab Experience Required License: NY State License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Required Must-Have: 2+ Years of Recent Cath Lab Experience Recent Experience Required Description: The candidate must possess expertise in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations. Experience in adult cardiac catheterizations is required, including left heart and right heart catheterizations. The candidate should be skilled in procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Knowledge of pulmonary artery line monitoring is required. The ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias is essential. Monitoring procedural sedation is necessary. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. The traveler is responsible for coordinating coverage for any additional shifts. Call-offs are limited to three shifts during the 13-week assignment. Automatic disqualifiers include negative hits on the nursing license. Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 80% on a telemetry assessment on the first day. Repeated assessments and educational materials will be provided if necessary. Nurses are responsible for interpreting cardiac rhythms for telemetry patients under their care. Previous travelers are eligible to return provided they are in good standing. First-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on experience. Travel pairs can be submitted for consideration, but scheduling issues may arise. Training will be provided for the electronic medical record system used.
