Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with Cardiac Cath Lab experience for a 13-week contract assignment in New York City. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced cardiac interventional environment while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
- Prepare, monitor, and recover patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional procedures.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor hemodynamic status.
- Administer medications and conscious sedation per facility protocols.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.
- Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications- Active New York State RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience highly preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Education- BSN preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with relevant experience or active BSN enrollment
