    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Holding (Cardiac Cath Lab / EP)

    Location

    Chesapeake, VA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts varying between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 40 hours per week | Weekdays only, no weekends or on-call

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing minimally invasive cardiac procedures
    • Monitor and manage patients receiving cardiac medications and vasoactive drips
    • Support care for patients with devices including intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Impella devices
    • Assist with patient care related to electrophysiology (EP) studies and EP device implants
    • Collaborate with the cardiovascular team to ensure safe and efficient patient throughput in a holding environment
    • Document patient assessments and interventions accurately using Epic EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
    • Minimum of two years of recent, relevant RN experience
    • Proficiency in Epic EMR — no exceptions
    • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
    • Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
    • Critical care exposure with cardiac patients is required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in ICU, Emergency Department, Cardiac Cath Lab, Pre/Post Procedure Recovery, or Cardiac Rehabilitation
    • Hands-on experience with coronary angioplasty, coronary stent placement, EP studies, and EP device implants
    • Familiarity with cardiac medications and vasoactive drip management in a procedural or critical care setting
