Job Title

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | Call rotation every 2–3 weekends and one night per week as part of a 4-person call team

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in a 7-room cardiac cath lab environment, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio during cases
  • Perform and assist with procedures including cardiac catheterization with intervention, device implants, peripheral vascular, structural heart, stroke, and STEMI interventions
  • Administer conscious sedation and apply ACLS and BLS protocols as required
  • Complete thorough nursing assessments and accurate documentation using electronic health record and lab systems
  • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including balloon pumps, IMPELLA, EKOS, Angiovac, FFR, and IVUS devices
  • Participate in on-call rotation as part of a 4-person call team, which may include serving as the sole RN on call alongside an MD
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience
  • Experience in a large hospital setting, Level 2 trauma designation or higher
  • Active North Dakota RN license or compact state RN license (must be willing to obtain ND licensure)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association only
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association only
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior critical care experience in an ICU or Emergency Department setting
  • Familiarity with Epic (OneChart), CUPID, and GE MAC LAB systems
