Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab / IR

Martinsburg, WV

Contract | Days | Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | On-call required Monday – Friday 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM and weekend call 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (Saturday/Sunday)

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology setting performing adult cardiac procedures including peripheral and cardiac cath, PCI, and device implantation (ICD, pacemakers)
• Function as part of a 3-person cath lab team (2 RNs and 1 tech), managing patient care throughout pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases in holding rooms and cath lab suites
• Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment including IABP and IVUS; utilize the Xper imaging system and Cupid (EPIC) EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation averaging approximately 15 days per month, with availability to respond within required timeframes; holiday coverage provided via call schedule
• Collaborate with cardiology, pharmacy (Omnicell), and respiratory therapy teams to ensure safe and effective patient management
• Float to Non-Invasive Cardiovascular areas as needed to perform IV insertions

• Active RN licensure (West Virginia license or compact eligibility required)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Hands-on experience with IABP and IVUS
• COVID-19 vaccination required (fully vaccinated); medical or religious exemption requests considered on a case-by-case basis

• Familiarity with the Acist injector system (automatic contrast injection; training available for qualified candidates)
• Prior experience with Cupid/EPIC EMR and Philips hardwired telemetry systems
• Experience with a broad range of adult cardiac interventional cases including peripheral vascular and device procedures

• Work in a well-equipped, 7-suite Cath Lab and IR unit with 24/7 cardiology coverage and strong interdisciplinary support
• Scrubs are provided, and orientation includes dedicated preceptor shifts and buddy call support to set travelers up for success
