Position Requirements:

  • Active, unencumbered license in IL
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
  • Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
  • Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)

Job Responsibilities:

  • • Deliver exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric populations, ensuring safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes throughout all cardiovascular procedures
    • Provide holistic support, addressing the physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients in a surgical and procedural environment
    • Collaborate closely with physicians, offering continuous updates and timely communication regarding patient status before, during, and after procedures
    • Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly, calibrated, and ready for use
    • Manage supplies and inventory, gathering case-specific materials and ensuring the Cath Lab team has everything required for efficient workflow
    • Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring accurate interpretation and rapid response to changes
    • Continuously assess and document patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab, maintaining thorough and precise records
    • Support quality initiatives, participating in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities to enhance patient care and operational excellence
    • Maintain active state Registered Nursing (RN) license
    • Maintain current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications
    • Possess at least one year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab with cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care environment
    • Work day shift schedule (0800-1630) with call rotation, including on-call every 2nd-3rd weekend and 1-3 times per week
