Contract | Days | Onsite | 4 x 9-hour shifts; occasional extended hours for emergent cases
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Cardiac Cath Lab environment, supporting 4–20 cases per day across 6 suites at a 1:1 ratio
Care for patients presenting with complex cardiac diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital conditions, TAVR, MitraClip, and peripheral vascular cases
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythm strips; titrate drips as needed
Serve as circulator for emergent cases, including during on-call shifts
Collaborate with a multi-person care team consisting of RNs and Radiologic Technologists (RTRs); regular cases are staffed with 1 RN and 2 RTRs
Participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotations, including primary and backup call coverage (approximately 6–8 call shifts per month)
Required Qualifications
Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
Experience titrating drips in a clinical setting
Must comply with a Drug-Free Campus policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local rate adjustment
