SMH Level 4 RN - Cath Lab

Contract | Days | 36 hours per week | 4x10 or 3x12 shifts (7:00am–5:30pm or 7:00am–7:30pm) | Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Callback per unit needs

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedural labs
  • Assist with and support a full range of cardiac interventions including structural heart procedures, mechanical circulatory support, and vascular interventions
  • Monitor and manage patients undergoing moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-procedural recovery in a dedicated holding area
  • Collaborate with cardiovascular technologists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Serve in charge nurse capacity as needed per unit requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Moderate sedation training and dysrhythmia/telemetry competency
  • Demonstrated experience with TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman procedures; Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics; Cardiac Interventions including CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, and FlowTriever; Mechanical Circulatory Support including ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD; and Structural Heart procedures including CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty, and ASA
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Cardiovascular certification or RCES certification preferred
  • Familiarity with device and ablation procedures and associated equipment
  • EP Lab experience
