    SMH Level 4 RN - Cath Lab

    Location

    New York, NY

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 36 hours per week; 4x10 or 3x12 shifts (7:00am–5:30pm or 7:00am–7:30pm) | Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Callback per unit needs

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedural labs serving adult and pediatric populations
    • Assist with and support mechanical and electrical cardiac diagnosis and intervention procedures including structural heart, vascular, and complex cardiac interventions
    • Manage and monitor patients receiving moderate sedation throughout pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care
    • Collaborate with cardiovascular technologists (CVTs) and the broader care team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction
    • Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage telemetry in a high-acuity procedural environment
    • Support mechanical circulatory support devices and structural heart procedures as required by unit needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
    • ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
    • Moderate sedation training and dysrhythmia/telemetry competency
    • Demonstrated experience with TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman procedures
    • Experience with Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, and FlowTriever
    • Mechanical Circulatory Support experience required: ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD
    • Structural Heart experience required: TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty, and ASA
    • Critical care or cardiac nursing experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Cardiovascular certification or RCES certification preferred
    • Familiarity with device and ablation procedures and associated equipment
    • EP Lab experience
