Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

Rockford, IL

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 9-hour shifts with one rotating day off per week | Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage required

• Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac, electrophysiology, neuro IR, and interventional radiology procedures including STEMIs, PCIs, diagnostic coronary angiography, structural heart procedures, ablations, device implants, synchronized cardioversions, TEEs, acute stroke/thrombectomy, peripheral vascular interventions, biopsies, and drain placements.
• Deliver pre-procedural and post-procedural recovery care for all applicable patient populations.
• Collaborate with Cath Lab Technologists who scrub and monitor cases across a 5-suite department averaging coronary, neuro, EP, and IR cases daily.
• Float within the Cath Lab department only, covering Coronary, Neuro IR, Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, and Prep & Recovery areas as needed.
• Participate in rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage based on department staffing needs.
• Operate and monitor equipment including Lifepak 20 and document care using Epic and Change Healthcare EMR platforms.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience required.
• STEMI experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Proficiency with Epic and Change Healthcare (formerly McKesson) EMR systems.

• Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred.
• Neuro IR experience preferred.

• Work within a high-volume, multi-specialty Cath Lab environment supported by a Manager and Charge Nurse on every shift.
