Contract | Days | 4x10, 0700–1730 | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist with Electrophysiology cases including device implantations and ablation procedures
• Manipulate angiography equipment, including mobile and digital angiographic systems; select and modify exposure factors and evaluate and process digital images
• Assist the surgeon or radiologist with diagnostic and interventional procedures, applying sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology to produce optimal results
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care as needed, and assist with lifting, moving, and transporting patients
• Maintain cleanliness of all necessary equipment and supplies involved in EP and special procedures; perform routine department duties when not performing special procedures
• Work collaboratively with Radiology staff, OR staff, surgeons, and interventional radiologists; flu vaccination or approved exemption is required from November 1 through April 1

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or be currently licensed in Missouri
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 1 year of EP lab experience
• Proficiency with digital angiography equipment, interventional equipment, PACS, and computers
• Ability to stand for extended periods while wearing lead apron, mask, gown, glasses, and gloves
• Ability to recognize and adapt to emergency and stressful situations; communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Familiarity with cardiovascular patient populations
• Collaborative, easygoing personality with the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment
