First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rock Island, Illinois.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown Registered Nurse – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | 18:30 – 07:00 (18:45 Start) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week
    • Weekend & Floating Requirements: Every other weekend required. Floating across local campuses within the same discipline required.
    • On-Call Protocol: No on-call required.
  • Assignment Duration: 8, 10, or 13-Week Flexible Contract (10/05/2026 Start) | 1 Open Position.

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 1+ year of recent PCU / Stepdown RN experience [HARDSTOP]. Prior travel experience preferred.
  • Licensure Requirements [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active Illinois State RN License in-hand [HARDSTOP]. Must apply for Iowa State License upon offer. Compact license allowed.
  • Employment Restriction [HARDSTOP]: Candidates must NOT have been employed by UnityPoint Health within the last 12 months [HARDSTOP].
  • Clinical Skill Competencies [HARDSTOP]: Proficiency in managing chest tubes, FemStops, tracheostomies, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), surgical drains, and central lines [HARDSTOP].
  • Pharmacological & Titration Competencies [HARDSTOP]: Direct experience managing and titrating vasoactive and high-alert drips, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
  • Submission Profile Requirements: Driver's License, Work History/Resume, Skills Checklist (completed within 1 year), License Verifications, and 1 Supervisory Reference.
