This 13-week travel RN assignment offers the opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma Center while caring for complex cardiac, trauma, and intermediate care patients.

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shift Pattern: 3x12 or 4x12 night options; every other weekend required
• Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours, with 48-hour contract options available
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Charting System: Cerner
• Setting: Level I Trauma Center / Major Teaching Hospital
• Start Date: Available based on scheduled orientation cycle

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 year of recent stepdown, PCU, IMC, trauma, or similar acute care experience required
• Active WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
• BLS and ACLS required
• CPI and fit test required
• TNCC preferred
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Ability to work nights, every other weekend, and float within scope as needed
• Strong trauma, telemetry, or ICU background is a plus for first-time travelers
• Must meet compliance and documentation requirements prior to start

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac and trauma stepdown environment
• Monitor and manage patients with complex surgical, trauma, and cardiac needs
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias
• Manage IVs, central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, and critical drips
• Provide care for patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, wound vacs, feeding tubes, and ventilator support
• Support patients with epidurals, PCA therapy, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway management
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in rapid response and code support as needed
• Float within scope to meet unit needs while maintaining high standards of clinical care
