• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington, DC; pending licensure may be considered, but the DC nursing license must be in hand before the start date
• Minimum of 2 years of recent registered nurse experience required
• At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience in PCU, IMC, cardiac stepdown, or progressive care preferred
• Telemetry experience and strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills required
• Experience caring for ventilated patients preferred
• Cerner EHR experience preferred
• Comfortable working rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a cardiac stepdown RN in an intermediate care and telemetry environment
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry strips, and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Support adult and geriatric patients with ventilatory needs and other intermediate-level clinical needs
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, timely, and compassionate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes throughout every shift
• Adapt to a rotating schedule while helping maintain consistent, high-quality nursing care
